Children with disabilities have trouble with free movement as their muscles, bones or nervous system are affected or are not completely functional. Our physiotherapist does an assessment, after which the child is given both individual and group activities which aid in achieving short and long term goals that improve movement and function in the body. The therapy includes positioning and handling through play as well as specific exercise.
For self-care assisted exercise for all limbs, passive stretching exercise for particular tightened muscles, spinal strengthening with swiss ball for imbalanced trunk, hip and knee stability with bolster, ankle and foot exercises, gait training in parallel bar are given.
